Privacy Policy
- Atreric keeps your data in your own browser. We don't have accounts and we don't run a database of your content.
- If you choose Google Drive backup, your data goes from your browser straight to a private folder in your own Drive. We never receive it.
- We don't sell your data, show ads, or use trackers.
Who we are
"Atreric" means the Atreric Console, Atreric Docs, Atreric Tasks and Atreric Backup web apps, operated by Atreric ("we", "us").
What Atreric stores, and where
Everything you create or set up in Atreric, such as documents, tasks and attachments, notes, bookmarks, shortcuts, profiles and settings, is stored on your device in your browser's storage (localStorage and IndexedDB). It does not leave your device unless you choose to export it or back it up. Because it lives in your browser, clearing your site data removes it, which is why backups exist.
Information we collect
We don't ask you to create an account and we don't collect your name, email address or the content you create. Our website host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and reliability. We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
Google Drive backup (optional)
Atreric Backup can save a backup to your Google Drive if you click "Connect Google Drive" and approve access.
- What we ask for: only the
drive.appdatapermission. This gives Atreric access to a hidden app folder in your Drive. It cannot see, read or change your other Drive files. - How it works: your browser talks directly to Google. Your backup and your Google access token are handled only in your browser. They are not sent to our servers.
- Encryption: you can encrypt the backup with a passphrase before it leaves your browser. We can't recover a forgotten passphrase.
- Your control: use "Disconnect" or "Delete my cloud backup" in Atreric Backup at any time, or remove access in your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Atreric's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide the backup and restore feature you asked for. We don't use it for advertising, we don't sell it, and no person at Atreric can read it.
Third-party sites and services
Atreric Console is a launcher. When you run a search or open a shortcut, you go to the site you chose, and that site's own privacy policy applies. If you configure an AI provider or a custom service in settings, what you send to it is sent to that provider. Pack Hub is a page on this site for finding shortcut packs; it stores nothing about you, and the links it creates open in your own Console. Our site is hosted by Netlify, which processes standard request data to deliver the pages.
Notifications
If you turn on task reminders, notifications are generated on your device by your browser. Reminders only fire while Atreric is open in a tab.
Sharing
We don't sell, rent or share your personal information. Files you export or share (backups, packs) are yours to handle. Treat backup files as private, and only restore files you made yourself.
Retention and deletion
Because your data is on your device, you control how long it's kept. To delete it, clear Atreric's site data in your browser. To delete a Drive backup, use "Delete my cloud backup" in Atreric Backup. We have no copy to delete on our side.
Security
Atreric is built to run in your browser with no server-side storage of your content, and its pages restrict what they can load and connect to. No system is perfectly secure, and anyone with access to your device or browser profile can see your local data, so protect your device accordingly.
Children
Atreric is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest version, and material changes will be noted on this page.
